once upon a time there was a backwards society
where citizens were punished for their hunger when they try to eat
and overflowing meals of one percenters piled so high
crumbs would tumble from the sky when they finally went to try a piece

people went hungry in shadows of these towers
while the rulers just played with their food through the hours
and the days and the weeks, if you gazed at their meat
they would summon your destruction by a gang of police

til the day the police forgot to play their part quiet
and the tired hungry masses all ascended into riots
and the bunkers of the bastards one by one went up in fire
til the kings had no one left to keep their castles from mire

they tried to bribe the crowd to join up with house
but the people pulled their faces outta smirks and into pouts
before the royals could announce and declare, "let them eat..."
they were blinking under guillotines they fucked around and found out

you're a cub in lion's den, or entrails
dinner's served, you eating or getting impaled?
you mighta ate a fish or two but listen, this whale
better get the butcher to carve it and make it fit well.
